I depend on Rio on Watch to keep me abreast of what is happening in Vidigal and surrounding favelas. My Brazilian son-in-law and his wife (my daughter) were forced to leave the home and art studio he built, including the derelict ground beneath it, when his landlord could not resist offers of a lot of money for it when the price of land skyrocketed at the time of the World Cup and the Olympics. They were made homeless. Rio on Watch at least documented it for which I shall be eternally grateful. Rio on Watch brings balance to otherwise terribly distorted, unbalanced reportage by other news companies that support only the more powerful interests in (unequal) Brazilian society.
Nuanced and fair information on Rio’s favelas. Great focus on solution journalism!
Its a very important project.

ComCat merece nosso voto!
Prefiro a rio on wach, pois dar voz as comunidades oprimidas, mas todos os sites são importantíssimos,
